We are not perfect. We strive to be every day, but we just haven't yet reached perfection. We, as a team have all been trained by Tom Woodruff and feel that his "old school, good 'ol boy" approach is exactly what sets us apart from everyone else and the mistakes that we have made along the way have taught us the valuable lessons that have elevated us above the competition. We lovingly refer to our process as the "Woodruff Way" because it is our foundation. So without further ado, let us break it down for you....
This is a bit like our "First Date". We will exchange all of our pleasantries, our sales team will make sure they have figured out why you are looking for a home, what you are looking for in your new home, and finally... like any great first date, if we did our jobs right... we will hopefully get your number. If we really hit it off, we will plan our second date.
"Sure, the first date is crucial.
But it’s the second that gives you a true sense of his love potential."
by CARINA HSIEH and EMILY C. JOHNSON NOV 19, 2019
And in this scenario... we agree with Cosmo... This is a very important date! Our second meeting is a bit more informative. Our sales team will have completed their homework prior to this encounter and present you with plans, lots, information, and a bit of a schedule that fits your needs. We ask our clients to do their homework before this meeting as well and
BRING ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS, YOUR IPAD TO SHARE YOUR PINTEREST BOARD, THE PHOTOS OF YOUR BEST FRIENDS REMODELED KITCHEN, AND THE PICTURES YOUR GOLFING BUDDY TEXT YOU OF HIS NEWLY INSTALLED SUMMER KITCHEN... WE WANT TO SEE EVERYTHING YOU LOVE SO THAT WE CAN OFFER THOSE UNIQUE DETAILS TO YOU IN YOUR NEW HOME!
The "second date" is to give our clients enough information for them to be ready to reserve a lot. By the end of this meeting, we hope to have made an impression on you and for you to be ready for a bit of a commitment.
We will pick a plan or sketch a custom plan at this meeting and take notes on all of the special things that you want in your home.
Beginning of a Beautiful Relationship
Our third date is always our favorite. We will show up to the party with your first round of plans and elevations. This is when it all starts to feel real and your ideas really come to life. The third date is all about plan mark ups and making any elevation changes that need to be made. Once this meeting is over, we start working on final plan drafts and elevations for pricing.
PUT A RING ON IT
This is that magical moment... at this point in our relationship, we must make that commitment, take that leap, and go all in. Our builders and sales team will be in attendance for this special moment, we will present a full "Home Package" that includes a detailed pricing breakdown on your home that includes everything from the light switches to the stone and stucco. You will be presented with your final house plans and elevations and make any last minute changes at this meeting. If you are happy with everything that our team has put together for you by the end of this "4th date" then we, like all young girls in love want that commitment.
Beyonce said it best " If you like it then you should have put a ring on it"
Lucky for you, we do not require diamond rings. This commitment will be sealed with a contract signing and construction deposit.
Registry of Sorts
Once we arrive at our 5th date in the home building world, we are ahead of the game. In this relationship, it almost moves like "dog years" rather than human. Our builders will have submitted all information for building permits and this meeting will be your first selections meeting. This is where the real fun begins! Our selections team will come to you fully prepared and guide you through the entire selections process for every single thing in your home from lighting to tile to roofing. We have not managed to make this as easy as a wedding registry at Target with a scan gun, but we think you will be pleasantly surprised with our process. We have this part down to an art and make it a fun filled ride from start to finish. Typically, our selections process will be completed within two-three meetings... This depends on you. The selections process requires a lot of homework but is well worth it in the end.
